WIND TECHNOLOGY
Wind-turbine technology connects rotor design, drivetrain behaviour and electrical generation. Explore the principles of synchronous powertrains, grid support and the engineering considerations behind practical wind-energy applications.
Explore the technologyGRID & OPERATIONS
Synchronous wind generation connects mechanical design with electrical performance. Explore physical inertia, voltage support and the field records that help engineers understand turbine behaviour.

A CLEANER, MORE RESILIENT TOMORROW
A stronger energy future needs more than generation. It needs thoughtful engineering, responsible operations and collaboration throughout an asset’s life.

WIND ENERGY / HISTORICAL CASE STUDIES
A Windflow 500 prototype was installed near Christchurch, beginning a practical programme of synchronous wind generation.
The first five machines entered service at Te Rere Hau. The historical installation later reached 97 turbines.
Eight Windflow machines were commissioned across Scottish locations, extending the operating record beyond New Zealand.
